About Recorando Tiling Institute
Our story
Founded by site supervisors who were tired of inconsistent workmanship, we built a curriculum that mirrors real workflows: substrate diagnostics, layout math, mortar selection, waterproofing, tile placement, grout chemistry, and post-install QA. Every topic is anchored in standards and manufacturer specs.
Mission
Elevate tile work quality across residential and commercial projects by teaching transparent, measurable skills. We emphasize safety, moisture management, and documentation, ensuring crews deliver durable results without guesswork.
Methodology
- Standards-first: ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA Handbook references in each module.
- Sequenced learning: layout before mixing mortar, waterproofing before tile placement, curing before commissioning.
- Assessment: scenario-based quizzes and checklists aligned to jobsite outcomes.
- Feedback loop: course updates reflect new mortars, membranes, and tools as they reach the field.

Professional ethics
No false urgency or misleading discounts
We avoid countdowns or pressure tactics. Pricing reflects content development costs and instructor time.
Manufacturer transparency
When a system requires branded components, we state it plainly and explain compatible alternatives when available.
Safety-first language
We emphasize PPE, ventilation, and MSDS compliance in every course that involves chemicals or dust.
